Effective Date: July 19, 2026. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and early termination work for Starbeam Hosting website design, hosting, and maintenance services.

One-Time Build Fee

Your one-time build fee (paid either upfront or, under a Rent-to-Own plan, financed into your monthly payments) covers the design and development of your website. If you cancel before we begin any design or development work, we will refund your build fee in full. Once design or development work has begun, your build fee becomes non-refundable, since it reflects work already performed, though we will always work with you to address any concerns about the quality of the work delivered.

Monthly Hosting, Updates & Maintenance

Hosting, updates, and maintenance are billed month-to-month for as long as your site is active with us. You may cancel this ongoing service at any time by contacting us; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle, and we do not provide refunds for partial months already billed.

Rent-to-Own Plans and Early Termination

If you choose a Rent-to-Own plan, your build fee (plus a financing charge) is spread across fixed monthly payments over a 36-month term, alongside your hosting and maintenance fee. If you need to cancel before completing your full 36-month term, an Early Termination Balance applies, covering the remaining unpaid build-cost portion of your plan, as described in your signed Service Agreement. We will always provide you with the exact Early Termination Balance in writing before finalizing any cancellation.

Annual Prepayment Discount

If you prepay a full year of hosting, updates, and maintenance in exchange for a discount, and you cancel partway through that year, we will refund the unused, prorated portion of that prepayment, less the discount that applied to it.

How to Cancel or Request a Refund

To cancel your service or ask about a refund, please contact us using the details on our Contact Us page. We will confirm any cancellation, refund amount, or Early Termination Balance with you in writing before it is processed.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund and Returns Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the last time this policy was updated. This policy is a general summary; your individual Service Agreement always governs the specific terms of your plan.
